Q: Can you tell me about Well Infused and how it came to be?
A: My husband Nate and I have owned and operated chiropractic practices for over twenty years. After opening our most recent clinic together in 2017, we decided to expand to be able to offer additional health services that went beyond the scope of chiropractic care. Specifically, I was looking to integrate services we wanted for ourselves and our clients—bioidentical hormone therapy, custom IV vitamin therapy and more advanced ozone therapy—and all expanding on the functional medicine labs we'd been using for clients for years. In April of 2022, we opened Well Infused to fulfill this goal.

Q: We hear the term functional medicine a lot these days. How would you explain functional medicine and the approach at Well Infused?
A: Everything we do at Well Infused is based on the foundation of functional medicine. New clients begin with comprehensive functional lab work. Unlike traditional medical labs that look for abnormal versus normal within wide ranges, we're looking for functionally optimal levels—that's where people feel their best. Our labs are significantly more comprehensive than even a "complete panel" in a traditional practice since we don't have to limit the labs we run based on symptoms or insurance guidelines. Our interpretation team evaluates sub-optimal results, so even when the lab markers fall within the "normal" clinical range, we look much deeper to determine where improvements need to be made and recommend a customized program of care that addresses each client's unique health goals.
Q: How do your injection therapies offer a different solution from traditional treatments for active professionals?
A: Our regenerative therapies are amazing options for people with joint pain who aren't candidates for surgery or don't want months of downtime or just to cover pain with cortisone injections. Whether you're a professional athlete with a damaged knee, someone who wants to continue playing basketball with friends in your 40s despite shoulder issues, or are looking for options to address more advanced degeneration, these therapies can be life-changing. Unlike cortisone injections that only temporarily reduce inflammation with no reparative capability, our regenerative joint therapies both reduce inflammation and provide actual reparative capabilities to damaged tissues.

Q: What is PRP therapy and how does this treatment help weekend athletes return to the activities they love?
A: PRP (platelet-rich plasma) works with your body's own regenerative cells that have both anti-inflammatory and reparative properties. This therapy uses a simple blood draw, and the isolation of your body's reparative platelets, which are then injected to help with pain and inflammation reduction while facilitating the body's natural repair response. We get great results with both PRP and other more advanced cellular therapies for joint pain and various orthopedic issues. The minimal downtime makes it perfect for active people who want to maintain their lifestyle without lengthy recovery periods.

Q: For someone dealing with chronic desk-related pain, how might trigger point therapy provide relief?
A: Trigger point therapy using lidocaine helps with chronic muscle pain, most commonly in the trapezius muscles. It's different from joint-focused regenerative therapy because it specifically targets muscle tissue. This is ideal for people experiencing tension from long hours at a desk, offering targeted relief for stubborn muscle knots and chronic pain.

Q: How can someone get started with Well Infused?
A: Most clients begin with our functional lab panel to establish a baseline so we can provide accurate, prioritized recommendations. Many first-time clients also start with IV infusions—especially when they're not feeling well. Once they experience how quickly they can feel better, they're interested in exploring our other customized services. We also host informational dinners about regenerative therapies that provide a deeper understanding of our approach. You can join our invite list from our website.
