Did somebody mention wine? No need to book a flight out West. You and your friends can get your vineyard vibes on at any number of charming Hoosier wineries right here in the metro area! Here are a few of our favorites for making summertime memories.
Peace Water Winery

Everything’s copacetic at Peace Water. Here, every bottle is born from the winery’s own vineyards in Napa Valley, so you’re really drinking California wine right here in Indiana. Plus, every sip does the world good—50% of net profits support charities here and abroad. With live music every weekend, this place is groovy, man. When you stop in, ask about the “Peace Posse.”
Daniel’s Family Vineyard and Winery

Stop by for a glass or a bottle with friends, and enjoy their menu of salads, starters and specialty pizzas. With an incredible lineup of summer events, Thursday BOGO bottles, and music all weekend long, Daniel’s is a welcoming spot with an accommodating outdoor space the whole family can enjoy.
Mallow Run Winery

George Mallow settled his farm in this lush country with a stream running through it back in 1835. That stream is now Mallow Run, and seven generations later, his family welcomes you to taste their wines! Located a short drive south of Indy, Mallow Run offers complimentary wine tastings every day, and their 2023 Picnic Concert Series brings live music every weekend through September.
Country Moon Winery

Escape to the country. Open Saturdays for tastings, and by appointment, Country Moon loves everything natural, including the wines they create. The back patio offers panoramic views of the grapevines, and a series of nature paths allow you to commune with the leaves and wildflowers. A Butterfly Garden in August will leave you and your family simply enchanted, and the property’s log cabin provides a cozy indoor option.

Who knew that remarkable wines could be vegan? Let Sip and Share’s line of handcrafted, vegan bottles show you how it’s done. In 2020, Forbes named the boutique winery’s “Conjure” Old Vine Zinfandel as one of the top-10 Black-owned wines and spirits to enjoy. Owner Nicole Kearney has designed all her wines to be approachable and just perfect for sipping and sharing.
